International Swizzle Stick Collectors Association – Who Knew?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the Internet is a godsend for finding people with niche interests!  A former Montrealer – Ray Hoare - commented earlier today on something I’d posted a while back (The Bellevue Casino On A Swizzle Stick) and since many of you are in love with everything vintage I thought I’d draw your attention to what he had to say:

The Bellevue Casino On A Swizzle Stick

As I’ve mentioned before, during the 1940s and 50s my parents often frequented nightspots that were part of Montreal’s heyday as the jazz and nightclub capital of Canada. As my mom would leave me with the babysitter she always promised to bring me back a swizzle stick! The words along the side of the swizzle stick read “Bellevue Casino Montreal Canada”.
