Today they pulled this house down with bulldozers Feb 8, 2011, I know because I had to wait for the trucks to move out of the way. Glad you have a photo of it.
Traditional Buildings Of Kahnawake (1) | Stone house
This is a photograph I took one afternoon a few weeks ago. It’s just one of the many traditional stone houses that can still be seen around Kahnawake (Caughnawaga). This one is just down the street from St-Francois-Xavier Church and it seems to be built in the familiar style of French -Canadian pioneer home - although I’m no expert!
