LAST Festival of Postcards – Deadline: 5 Days
Festival Participants
Along with a reminder that the deadline is 5 days away, I wanted to let everyone know that – due to other demands on my time – this will be the last time that you can participate in the Festival of Postcards.
Call For Submissions: Festival of Postcards (9th Ed.) – Locomotion
I have absolutely LOVED publishing the Festivals. I’ve learned so much about postcards from the many entries by deltiologists and I’ve really enjoyed seeing the different creative ways that family and local historians weave postcards into their work. I know that many of us have also made a lot of new acquaintances along the way and I will really miss that.
In fact, if anyone who has participated in one of the Festivals would like to take on the project, I would be delighted to pass it on to you (along with the official Blog Carnival registration) and give you any support you may need! There will be a 10th Festival published by December which will serve as an Index to the first nine, so if you’re interested in hosting the Festival then you would need to be available by January/February 2011.
Thanks!

So sorry to hear this. I’ve enjoyed every Postcard Festival. I would take up the Festival, Evelyn, if you’re still looking for someone.
Hi Evelyn..
I am really happy to know that someone will pick up the postcard festival where you leave off. You’ve done a tremendous job with the festival – you got it off to an excellent start and I believe that someone picking it up after you is a testament to the great festival you created.
Thank you, Lucie – for the very sweet comments!
You’ve done such sterling work on the Festivals! I’ve always marvelled at how much effort it must have taken. I will look out something on the locomotion theme tomorrow, and I’ll keep my eyes open for the handover.
Thanks, Sheila! And I’m looking forward to your next entry!
