The Laprairie Tourist Rooms on Blvd. Taschereau | Famille Pinsonneault
Laprairie Tourist Rooms,
Showers and Spring Mattresses,
Route 9, Bld. Taschereau, Laprairie, Quebec
Emile Pinsonneault, Prop.
The owner of the Laprairie Tourist rooms was the Emile Pinsonneault (son of Isaie Pinsonnault and Alma Parent) who married Louise Lanctot (daughter of Pilocles Lanctot and Lumina Robidoux) on October 1st, 1932 in St-Constant (Laprairie).
When I looked up this Pinsonneault family in the Lovell’s South Shore directory (see below) I also found that Emile and Louise had a son Paul who might have been the garagiste listed below. Paul Pinsonneault married Monique Moquin in the same year that this Lovell’s was published – 1963. He was the last of his siblings to be married. His brothers Noel (m. Michelle Ethier) and Gilles (m. Lucie Patenaude) had been married in the 50s while his sister Carmen had married Jules Samson the year before.
According to Gille Dompierre’s transcript of his obituary, Emile died in Laprairie in 1998 at the ripe old age of 92.
Annuaires Lovell’s – 1963

Tourist rooms and plate lunch. Sounds good to me. It’s an unusual and charming card.
