The Janice Brown Puckerbrush Blog Award for Excellence 4. Wendy Hawksley | New England Genealogy
This award was established in May 2009 by Mississippi blogger Terry Thornton who wanted to honour the work, and particularly the writing skills of blogger Janice Puckerbrush of Cow Hampshire. Cow Hampshire no longer exists but the award keeps its memory alive and it’s with great pleasure that I grant the fourth of my ten awards to Wendy Hawksley of New England Genealogy.
There’s room for many types of writing in the genealogy blogosphere – one could almost say there are as many types of writing as there are geneabloggers! What I most admire about Wendy’s blogging is the way her voice comes through so fresh and strong and clear. She has a conversational tone that makes me feel like I’m right in the room with her.
Listen to how she describes her “support network” when she’s trying to do some genealogy: Read more »
Blogger’s Best Friend Award
A while ago Lucie LeBlanc Consentino of Lucie’s Legacy was kind enough to grant me (and My Nola Heritage.) the Blogger’s Best Friend Award.
Here is the description for this award:
“Give this award to your most loyal blog readers. The award should be given to a follower of yours who takes the time to comment regularly on many of your posts. In addition his or her blog should be creative, funny and always entertaining. Upon receiving this award, pass it along to two fellow bloggers who fit this criteria.” Read more »
