Joseph Dufresne married Mathilde Daoust in Buckingham,Quebec on Aug. 30,1879.Joseph Dufresne ran a sawmill and grist mill in Buckingham.
Before arriving in Buckinhham,Joseph Dufresne supposedly met Mathilde Daoust(possably Indian) while working on the Canadian Railroad.
Any more information on this family would be appreciated.
In addition to the above comment about Joseph Dufresne;
the pronunciation of the name “Dufresne” sounds like Dufrain.Sounding simiar to the name of Dufferin Falls
