What a great idea! I’m going to have go check out these links. I completely agree that community is a large part of genealogy.
I have come to this sight hoping to trace my ancestry a little more thouroughly. There is alot of confusion about our native ancestry as no one talked about it. I want to talk about it. I am a proud Metis. I have traced all gandparents and great parents back to St. Eustache (Leduc, Leclerc, Dejardins)…are the names of my family I am tracing…can anyone share with me anything about how my ancestors could be traced back to Kanahwake. I would appreaciate all strories and teachings. Thank you kindly.
