Genealogy Notes: This is probably the couple Antoine M. Theriault and Elisabeth Legresley who were married in La Nativite parish in La Prairie (Monteregie, Quebec) on November 5th, 1917. If this is the case, then this Antoine was first married to Louise Blanchard on May 9th, 1911 in Gloucester (New Brunswick). The marriage record at Le Centre de Genealogie Francophone d’Amerique states that Elisabeth was from Grande Anse and that her parents were Philippe Legresley and Louise Dumas. I hae found no other corresponding couples with similar names for this time period and geographical area. Read more »
