Your grandfather Joseph-Edmond BEGIN‘s parents were Edouard Begin and Celin Morin. Your grandmother Rose-Anna CHAMPAGNE was the daughter of Pierre Champagne and Virginie Thibodeau. Joseph Edmond and Rose-Anna were married on July 8th, 1913 in the parish of St. Francois d’Assise in Beauceville, Beauce, Quebec, Canada.

This photograph appeared in Le Monde Illustre (1900) which you can consult diretly at Quebec’s Bibliotheque Nationale. In a short note that accompanies the photograph, it states that Victor Begin was the only French Canadian officer serving in the NorthWest Mounted Police. and he had been with them for 15 years.
