I’ve just returned from a rainy but nontheless wonderful camping/fishing/canoeing/photo-snapping week in the wilds of northern Quebec. What a treat to get back and see the great comments as well as the flurry of postcards and articles waiting for the July issue of A Festival of Postcards. I’ll be collating the Festival issue over the next few days, taking part in Postcardy’s Scavenger Hunt AND catching up on my reading of the latest Genealogy carnivals.
Ah – don’t I just love the summertime – when the living is easy!
Evelyn this is my favorite song, well one of them anyways. I have it on my Ipod. I have it by Janis Joplin, Fantasia Barino, Billy Smith too. Oh I do love this song.
I will bet this is the first time ever I haven’t immediately shut off music on a blog.
Thanks
As for Summertime, it was on our Sarah’s program at her recital just prior to graduating from college..and.. she had me sing it with her and her Dad played the piano.. great song!!
Hi Evelyn…I missed this message you posted. It is Rebecca who sings Gilbert & Sullivan. She is indeed on youtube and she also has a CD for sale with all of the G&S tunes.
Yesterday we went to her concert in Lexington, MA. She did Gershwhin and Bernstein tunes.
Sarah does Musical Theater – one of her roles was Evita ;o)

Sarah has quite a range – she usually sings Gilbert and Sullivan, no? Does she have anything on youtube?
