That looks terrifying. I have ancestors from Lachine. I wonder if they are in there?
Wonderful!
Evelyn, could you send me a private email as I don’t have one for you. I would like to discuss sharing your Caughnawaga images. I am doing some research for a friend who has ancestors from that area.
I just got back from vacation but I’ll send you an email tomorrow.
Evelyn
HI!
I just stumbbled across your site. Big John is my great, great, great…. grandfather. My name is Shawlee Canadien. I was hoping you might know about my family, and could tell us more.
Hello Shawlee,
It’s very exciting to hear from you and I look forward to doing some research together. I’ve contacted you privately at your email address.

Hi I just google on the net if I would find anything
on my family history and here I found something.
It’s just so wieard Big John is my great, great, great
grand-father. And the wieard is thing is that my mom,
sister and grand-mother has that book since my
grand-father name by Big John is in that book.
Is there more stuff that I could learn on my family
history other then what’s in the book from the reserve
in Caughnawaga? I would love to learn more stuff on
my family history.
I love this picture because first of all I love rapids.I like all the fun action when you hit waves. The first time I went was with my day camp when I was 6 years old.I was scared but I figured out it was one of my favourite activity.
Thank you for the awesome postcard!!!!
I think it looks like a painting because of the way they are moving with the water.I really like this image,
I love this picture because I could see how it was in that time. And you could see how the boat is made.I find it interesting the way the shape of the boat is.
