Hi-

Lucy Leger, whom I believe is my great-great grandmother, is buried in Leicester (Cherry Valley area), Massachusetts. I do not know who she married, nor her antecedents, but am hoping to find out. Family rumor is that Lucy was the ancestor who came from Quebec, Candada. She was (I assume, as she is buried right next to them)the mother of Adele Leger who married Octave Bertrand. I know for a fact that Adele Leger was my great-grandmother. Adele Leger Bertrand was the mother of my grandmother, who was Clara Bertrand Dumas. If anyone can help me with information about Lucy Leger and her antecedents, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Virginia Dumas

Note from Evelyn: Will be answering privately

Bonjour,
I think i spelled it right but, unfortunately, that is about the only french i know. I hail from Southwest Louisiana and am a cousin of yours. I just found out tonight that I decend from Jacques Dit Larosette. Your sibling is Jacques Leger of Jacques and Madeline and mine is Jean of Jacques and Madeline. I am sitting here 205 miles away from my brother in 2009 when it would take me 3 hours to get their. Our ancestors lived over 18000 miles away from each other in the in the 1700's. It is hard to fathom. Well long story short I thought it was cool I found you and wanted to tell my cousin Bonjour.
