Evelyn in Montreal: Arbour m. Fregeau, Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec
Query from Britt Anderson: I’m looking for any information regarding Michel Arbour and his wife Genevieve Fregeau, I estimate that they were born late 1600′s to early 1700′s. They resided in Quebec, Canada. I know that they had at least one daughter, Marie-Genevieve, and that she married into the Pepin dit LaChance family. I am the 7th great-granddaughter of Marie-Genevieve.
Information:
Michel HARBOUR married Genevieve FREGEAU in 1728 in Berthier sur Mer, Quebec.
Michel was baptized in 1704, was buried in 1734. Michel’s father was also named Michel Harbour.
Genevieve Fregeau’s father was Daniel Fregeau. The couple had at least two children – Genevieve who married Antoine Pepin and Michel who married Marie Louise Boutin. You can see this information – and earlier generations – for yourself online at theDictionnaire Tanguay Tanguay Dictionary. The information above is in Volume 4 (Dictionnaire – H – Har – pg.2) section.

Dear Evelyn – would you please grant me permission to copy some of your photos etc. on the Roussell family. My husband Maurice Rousselle is a direct descendant of Jacques Roussel and Genevieve-Gabrielle Emond of Riviere Ouelle Kamouraska Quebec. His branch of the family left Quebec for Sudbury, ON and eventually settled in Windsor, ON. I am preparing an album on his Roussell genealogy and some of the information you have on your site would be very informative for him and helpful for me since I don’t read or write the French language. I would be prepared to forward you a list of everything I copy and/or use from your site if you would like same. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Brenda Rousselle
