Query from Leslie Allain Emond:

Seeking info on Honore Henri Alain and his wife Hortense Marie Bond, from Riviere au Renard. They married in 1865. They had 11 children. I am descended from their son Desire, born in 1867. Are there any descendents in Gaspe area?  Thank You!

Greetings,
I’m not a descendant but here’s some information: Honore Allain, son of Joseph Allain and Henriette Samson, married Hortense Bond, daughter of John Bond and Marie Reine Rinfret/Malouin- Date: 16 Jan 1865 - Parish: St Martin - Location: Riviere au Renard, Gaspe, QC, CAN

Dear Pauline,

Today has been beautiful although yesterday was quite rainy. The Apalasions Mountains in the background of this picture are the same and similar to those in Pa. The coastiline and typical natives with their fishing and lumbering industries are very interesting. I am getting some good lesson in French also. Hope you are enjoying J.P.J. and the suspense (?)   sincerely Ed.B
