I love seeing original documents. It makes the people feel not so far removed.
Evelyn,
Where did you find Michel Mignier and Marguerite Pelletier marriage information? Ancestry.com have the Quebec Vital Church Records but I can’t find these two mentioned.
Peter
My gedcom has these two sources which date from when I was working with hard copy indexes at the library:
1. Dictionnaire National des Canadiens Francais: 1608-1760. (1965). Pub. Insitut Généalogique Drouin, Tome II pg. 952 (middle of the page in the hardcopy).
2. Tanguay, Abbe Cyprien (1871-1890). Dictionnaire généalogique des familles canadiennes depuis la fondation de la colonie jusqu’a nos jours 1705, (28 juillet) Cap-St-Ignace. Tome VI
Tanguay can now be accessed online at the Quebec National Library here: http://bibnum2.banq.qc.ca/bna/dicoGenealogie/
You will find the above reference by going to the left sidebar and clicking on: Volume 6, Dictionnaire, M, Mi and then clicking on the pages on the right until you get to page 18 and find the marriage under MIGNIER, Michel m. PELLETIER, Marguerite.
Happy hunting!
