Thanks for the comment on my “Smile for the Camera,” Yvonne. You have a great blog! It covers a lot of ground and you must be helping a lot of people. Way to go!
Hi Evelyn :: Just wanted to let you know that I am “paying it forward” by nominating your delightful blog for the “One Lovely Blog Award.” You will be able to pick up your award at benotforgot.blogspot.com. Thanks for what you do here. I’m looking forward to participating in your upcoming Festival of Postcards. Vickie in Texas
Hi Evelyn, I have chosen your blog for the “Friendly Blogger Award”. You can stop by and pick it up if you wish.
That is so generous, Earline – thanks! I will pass it on next week!
Hi Evelyn,
Thanks for adding my entry to the Festival of Postcards.
Hi Evelyn,
I got your message on my blog today, and Yes, by all means, you have mypermission to link to my Lamplighter post. No problem at all. Your website is great.

i probably am too late, but just wanted to tell you that if you want/need to link a post on my blog about something, feel free to do it….just do let me know afterwards, so that i can read the post about it

Evelyn my dashboard reader says there is a post from you on the Champagnes of Quebec.
I tried to access the page but it says page not found. My mother’s line is Champagne, most definitely from Quebec. I am very interested in seeing what you have.
Hi Lori, it appeared by mistake. I meant to schedule it for the 26th of October rather than September. I’ll send you the info by private email.
Evelyn
Salut, and thank you for your comment. I find your blog especially rewarding as my girlfriend and I visited Quebec this summer (we live in China).
One thing, though: you mentioned using a postcard from my site to celebrate quadropeds. I can only assume you are referring to an image of the Bison on the Manitoba flag. I have one image of a postcard, but it really doesn’t show the bison at all; just hope you aren’t confusing an image of the fag with the actual postcard showing the house of the Manitoba Lt.Governor’s residence.
A bientot!
Keir
Oh dear – I scrolled through and thought that one of them did look like a postcard. I’ll go through your site again this evening and doublecheck what I was looking at!
Evelyn
Hi Evelyn, of course I would love to participate again! I’m going to be posting more postcards on Monday or Tuesday next week that are really fun!
Can’t wait to see who else will be showing theirs.
Hi there Evelyn,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and commenting! I am new in the world of postcards but quickly getting addicted.
Annie
I thought you might be interested in a new Genealogy TV series called The Generations Project. Its on Monday nights at 8pm Mtn Time on BYU Television.
http://www.byub.org/thegenerationsproject/
If you don’t have the channel, you can watch in online at http://www.byu.tv/
It’s really cool, you should check it out.
Hi Yvonne.. any word yet on who won out of all the nominees??
No, Lucie. Or at least not as far as I know.
Maybe they’re letting the Olympics finish first!
Evelyn
Hi Yvonne,
Does “mail art” have to incorporate an actual postcard? Or just be postcard-sized? Thinking of a family surname we have in common for “light” …
thanks,
Liz
Answer via email: Mail Art can incorporate a postcard or postcard graphics, but it can also merely be “postcard-inspired”. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thank you, Chris – I caught it!
