    What time frame is this photo? Guessing 1920+
    My family came to MI in 1861 so I always wonder what it was like then. I have some of the same names you have listed but they are not directs. My directs; Sicard, Valley, Leguerre, Jacques, back to Martin, Boucher and and.. someday I will put this online~ nice to see the postcards~

  2. I’m afraid I can’t help you with the dates because these look like locally produced cards. However your time frame sounds about right.
    So many Canadians went to Minnesota. At one point when I was track down a lot of Theriaults I certainly found some of those there. Some of the French Canadians went there directly from Quebec while many others went out to Western Canada first.
    I think many went to work in the logging industry? I’m going to be posting my collection of quebec Lumber Industry postcards this fall/winter (but there aren’t any from the 1860s – smile)
